Has it actually been used in anger?
Yes. EventControl has run live control rooms at large multi-day residential events since 2022, handling real incidents from lost property through to welfare and safeguarding cases.
Do our staff need training or an app?
No app — it runs in a browser on whatever your team already has. Operators get a walkthrough as part of onboarding, and most are working confidently within an hour because the log is deliberately the simplest part of the system. Anyone who receives an SMS link needs nothing at all.
What happens if the internet fails mid-event?
Every screen carries a live connectivity monitor, so operators know immediately rather than working on from a stale picture. For events where stopping isn't an option, we offer resilient satellite and cellular connectivity, and an on-site hot standby that mirrors your control room locally and takes over if the link drops.
Do you support recurring annual events?
Yes. Your entity registry — people, vehicles, locations, known persons — carries forward year to year, so the second year starts with everything the first year learned rather than a blank database.
