EventControl exists because the alternative was a paper log, three WhatsApp groups and a spreadsheet somebody forgot to save.
Where it came from
Most event control rooms run on whatever was to hand. A ring binder. A shared spreadsheet. A radio and a good memory. It works right up until the moment it matters — when three things happen at once, when the shift changes, or when somebody asks six weeks later exactly what time the welfare team were told.
EventControl was built by a team running exactly that problem at their own events, who got tired of reconstructing timelines after the fact and decided to build the thing they wanted to be using.
It has run live control rooms at large multi-day residential events since 2022, handling real incidents from lost property through to welfare and safeguarding cases. Every part of it exists because somebody needed it during a live event.
How we work
We are a small UK operation. You will talk to the people who build and run the system rather than an account manager. Ask whether it can do something and you will get a yes, a no, or a "not yet". If we do not think EventControl suits your event, we will say so.

Four things we don't compromise on.
Each of these is a commercial decision as much as a principle, and each has been challenged.
No per-user pricing
Charging per seat pushes clients toward shared logins, which destroys the audit trail — the single most valuable thing the system produces.
Speed beats completeness
An incident logged in five seconds with three fields is worth more than a perfect record nobody had time to type. The form gets out of the way first and asks questions later.
Your data is yours
We don't mine it, benchmark it, or train anything on it. It's deleted when you say so.
